Abstract

Two species of free-living marine nematodes were collected from the intertidal areas of East Coast of India namely, Conilia sinensis Chen and Guo, 2015and Corononema parvumNicholas and Stewart, 1995, both species are new records for the Indian fauna. Previously, the genus ConiliaGerlach, 1956was known from Santos Beach, South Japan, East China Sea and Korea. The genus Corononema Nicholas and Stewart, 1995 was known only from Australia and Thailand and very recently reported from off the coast of Vietnam.Both the genera are being reported for the first time from India. The species are described and photomicrographed.
